What this is

UNFINISHED is built on contribution, not attendance—everyone here is both guest and contributor. You're not applying to receive an experience. You're applying to make one, with a few thousand strangers you'd never otherwise meet.

This year: Multiplicity

After Édouard Glissant's idea that you can be one and multiple at the same time—that you can be yourself and the Other—without losing yourself, we're curious about people who resist being flattened into one label: who change their minds, carry contradictions, and let people unlike them rub off on who they are.

Because the point is to meet you. We can feel the difference, and we'd rather read three honest, uneven sentences from you than three polished paragraphs from a machine.

We're not looking for the perfect answer, or the right one. We're looking for the honest, imperfect, unfinished answer—yours.

A note on the decision

Attendance is limited and gets more so every year. If we can't offer you a place, it's not a verdict on whether you 'fit'—and it never disqualifies you from a future edition.
